Science
Welcome to Science 8!
"Equipped with his [or her] five senses, man [or woman] explores the universe and calls the adventure science. " (Edwin Hubble, 1889-1953)
Students are expected to come prepared to class with their science textbook, notebook, and a pen/pencil. Much of the class time in this class will be spent exploring research questions and applying concepts in active and authentic ways in order to construct knowledge. At times, material will need to be reviewed using a more traditional approach, especially at the beginning of each topic and during test and exam reviews. Notes will be provided online (via Edmodo and/or EdQuest). Students can access them and print them as they wish, but they are highly encouraged to take complimentary notes in class.
For help with test/ exam preparation and for additional topic notes visit the following links at www.edquest.ca:

Don't forget to study your class notes and the reviews in your text!
